  About this example

  The Send Email IFTTT action runs when a new record is created. Field references supply the recipient and subject, while the rule body supplies the message content.

  Before you start

  Use a Cloud test page with ConfiForms installed and permission to configure forms. If needed, complete the basic form tutorial first. Use an email address you control and check your site’s configured email allowance before testing.

  Build it step by step

  1. Create a form named emailer with Text fields recipient and subject, and a Textarea field message.
  2. Add an onCreated IFTTT rule with action Send Email.
  3. Set the recipient to [entry.recipient] and the subject to [entry.subject]. Place a ConfiForms Field macro referencing message in the rule body.
  4. Add a registration control for emailer. Optionally change its submit-button label to Send.
  5. Publish the page and submit one message to your test address.

  Check the result

  Confirm that one email arrives with the expected subject and body. Check the inbox and spam folder, and confirm the record was saved. If no email arrives, review the action error, recipient address, configured allowance and your organization’s mail filtering.
